Choosing to Be Kind

Mr. Rogers once said, "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'"

Everyday, we have the opportunity to be the helpers to someone else and to set an example for the next generation.

Greeting a stranger, asking a person how they are doing, and sharing a smile with a fellow human being is something we do for ourselves – because – we want to – but – it is not about us – it is about the other person.

By doing a simple act of kindness, we can completely change the trajectory of someone else's day–or even their life.
