Denmark Pledges 317 Million Kroner for Ukraine's Artillery Needs

In a significant move to support Ukraine amidst ongoing conflict, Denmark has pledged 317 million Danish kroner, equivalent to over €42 million, designated specifically for artillery ammunition. This commitment reinforces Denmark's ongoing efforts to assist Ukraine in bolstering its defenses.

Details: Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen is set to meet with his Estonian counterpart, Hanno Pevkur, where they will engage in discussions surrounding Ukraine's ongoing needs for military support. The focus will be on Denmark's decision to allocate the aforementioned funds for ammunition to be procured via Estonia.
Minister Poulsen emphasized the importance of sustained support for Ukraine, stating, "It is very important that Denmark and our close allies continue to support Ukraine's fight for freedom. We must keep directing our support so that Ukrainians can resist Russian aggression."
The Danish Ministry of Defence has highlighted the critical requirement for Ukraine to receive continuous and diverse supplies of artillery ammunition to strengthen its defense capabilities against aggression.
Under the new aid initiative, Denmark will facilitate the transfer of various types of artillery munitions to Ukraine, ensuring alignment with Ukraine’s specific requests and operational needs. Poulsen remarked, "Assistance to Ukraine must be provided in accordance with Ukraine's specific requests and needs. It is good and important that Estonia is able to deliver the requested types of ammunition to the Ukrainians."
Additionally, the agenda of the upcoming meeting will cover Estonia's contributions to enhancing Ukraine's IT security as part of the IT coalition initiative.
