In a strategic meeting aimed at bolstering Ukraine's defense capabilities and international relations, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has outlined significant developments following discussions with Defence Minister Rustem Umierov. The focus remains on enhancing collaborations with the United States and streamlining defense management in light of current military needs.

Key Developments: President Zelenskyy reported that he has tasked Minister Umierov with acquiring priority types of drones to ensure that Ukraine's military is well-equipped. Furthermore, he emphasized ongoing efforts with European partners to secure necessary funding for these initiatives.
“This year, we must achieve significantly higher drone production and supply for the army than initially planned. We are also preparing non-standard measures to support our defense and expanding the geography of this support,” Zelenskyy stated.
Strategic Objectives: In his address, Zelenskyy also highlighted the need for reforms within state institutions to enhance the relationship between Ukraine and the United States. He indicated that new steps are necessary for managing the country’s defense sector, with specific decisions anticipated shortly.
