Details: The coalition's session culminated in the endorsement of a specialized command structure tasked with overseeing military forces upon the establishment of a ceasefire in Ukraine. This framework is aimed at ensuring the successful implementation of peacekeeping efforts.
According to the UK government, this strategic discussion followed prior military consultations held in Paris, where military leaders coordinated with representatives from the EU, NATO, and an extensive network of over 200 planners from 30 allied nations to conceptualize the operational strategy.
Moreover, the coalition's leadership highlighted the importance of maintaining a consistent and ongoing planning approach. As part of this initiative, a joint multinational headquarters will be established in Paris, co-led by the UK and France, which will manage all tactical and operational activities related to the coalition's mission.
After one year, the headquarters is set to transition to London. Additionally, once deployed, coalition forces will establish a coordination group in Kyiv, which will be directed by a British major general.
The coalition's agenda also stipulates vital post-ceasefire responsibilities, including the support of Ukraine's Armed Forces and bolstering security measures both in airspace and maritime domains.
